We are in our final preparations for our  Brazil Mission Trip.  Tickets are purchased, teams are set and final schedules are being made.  Please pray for this team and the work they will do in Sao Paulo, Brazil. 

There are many mission opportunities at Great Hills. But one of our most favored by our single adults is Brazil.  Dates are set for August 6-14, 2009.  Our team will be made up of many first time members, a good many returning members and will form a mission-minded team to share the gospel and a small part of our lives with thousands in Brazil. The city of Sao Paulo is a major city of 22 million people.  We will work in the favela of Perus.  We will distribute over two thousand pair of reading glasses, provide basic medical care; dental care and nursing to hundreds of people in need. Our Faith-trained teams will share the Good News of Jesus Christ and place thousands of Bibles into the community. We are praying for 2,000 professions of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We will lead revival in the community gymnasium and will see 500-600 children participate in Vacation Bible School each day. Each of our men will preach the gospel in area churches and we pray a mighty work of God in those congregations.  It is the 400th anniversary of Baptists in Brazil and we will see a celebration of faith in our time there.  If you have never been on a Great Hill's single adult mission trip, may we encourage you to come join us and watch the Lord Jesus mature your faith, stretch your abilities and glorify Himself as we offer Him our time, talent and treasure in order that eternity might be impacted by our going. If you would like to financially support this team please call Diane Eppler @ 343-7763 x662.  Please join us through the support of your prayers for the city of Sao Paulo.
